Solid Aluminum Panels for Facade Cladding Guide

Solid aluminum panels are widely used for exterior facade cladding, curtain walls, soffits, column covers and architectural feature walls. They are selected when a project needs custom metal fabrication, durable outdoor coating and a premium aluminum appearance.

What Are Solid Aluminum Panels?

A solid aluminum panel, also called an aluminum single panel, is fabricated from aluminum sheet rather than a plastic-core composite board. The panel can be cut, bent, welded, curved, perforated and finished according to the project drawings.

For Punchuk projects, common aluminum single panel requirements include 1100 or 3003 aluminum alloy, 1.5mm to 5.0mm thickness options and finishes such as PVDF coating, powder coating or anodizing. Final details should always follow the approved shop drawings and samples.

Where Solid Aluminum Panels Are Used

Solid aluminum panels are used for commercial facades, curtain wall cladding, canopies, columns, ceilings, parapets, signage backgrounds and renovation projects. They are especially useful when the design includes curved shapes, special corners, welded details or perforated decorative areas.

Finishes for Exterior Cladding

Exterior aluminum panels often use PVDF coating for weather resistance and color stability. Powder coating and anodizing can also be selected depending on the design intent, location and budget. The finish should be confirmed with color samples before mass production.

How to Request a Quotation

To quote solid aluminum panels accurately, prepare drawings, panel quantity, thickness, alloy requirement, color, finish, installation method and packing requirement. If the panel is curved, perforated or special-shaped, include photos or 3D references so the factory can review the fabrication method.
